The Saunders Castle – Downton Abbey
In 2019, we were delighted to host “Downton Abbey: The Exhibition” at The Saunders Castle. More than 80,000 visitors lined up to see a multimedia exhibit featuring iconic sets, costumes, and much more, from the famed PBS television show. Lillian Brown of The Boston Globe called the Castle, “a fitting home for the Crawleys,” referring to the exhibition as a “you-are-there tour through the hit PBS series.” (Read full article here.)
The exhibition took place in advance of the Downton Abbey movie, which was released in theaters September 2019. Prior to the film’s release, creator Julian Fellowes visited Boston and the Castle exhibition, along with Downton actors Laura Carmichael, Phyllis Logan and Lesley Nicol.
