“Auschwitz. Not long ago. Not far away.” (Previously at The Saunders Castle)
For its regional premiere, the most comprehensive exhibition ever presented on Auschwitz is coming to Boston and The Saunders Castle. The exhibition features more than 700 artifacts of immense value to world history and all of humanity.
According to a recent Boston.com article, “The exhibition, ‘Auschwitz. Not Long Ago. Not Far Away.,’ uses artifacts from the Auschwitz-Birkenau Memorial, Yad Vashem, the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum, and over 20 other international museums to educate visitors about Auschwitz. These artifacts are curated to tell the personal stories of the victims and survivors of the Holocaust.”
Luis Ferreiro, the exhibition’s executive producer, remarked, “It is a tribute to the memory of the victims. It is a reflection on a past that is very near us. And it is a way to also have a better, more critical understanding of our own present.”
